I'M GREGORY...

...an award winning chef from California who dropped everything to live, eat and drink the good life in San Sebastián.

I was a private chef and teacher in LA when I won a James Beard Foundation Scholarship, moved to Paris, and studied at Le Cordon Bleu. After graduating, I worked in a brasserie and then spent a year working on organic farms all over rural France and Spain. When I got to the Basque Country I never left.

Eight years later and married into a local family, I opened Basque Bites to share my enthusiasm for our unique culinary culture. Take one of my tours, classes or day trips and get to know the real Basque food scene. EAT & DRINK LIKE A LOKAL!
